Aside from being a drain on your time, manual data entry creates room for error in accounting workflows that are hard to identify and rectify, opening your business up to significant problems with bank reconciliations. With Bank Feed, your team has the flexibility to achieve more. This smart accounting tool automatically imports bank transactions so you can handle transaction matching in one view and make bank reconciliations effortless.
At no additional cost, you can see bank transactions from linked accounts right within AppFolio, which offers your team an accurate, centralized view of their bank activity alongside your AppFolio records. Supported by AI, Bank Feed also reduces the amount of manual work and enables you to reconcile quicker, easier, and more accurately, so you spend less time untangling errors at the end of each accounting cycle.
This release allows owners to electronically sign resident forms directly through AppFolio Property Manager. This means that you can add property owners as eSigners on resident forms like parking permits, utility agreements, and notices of entry.
This feature provides a better experience for property owners as documents are now available for signing in the owner portal; to give a more seamless way for property managers to collect signatures in a single, streamlined process; and it saves them money and limits the need for other eSignature solutions.
As an extra bonus, our team is currently hard at work to extend owner eSignature functionality to PDF Leases — be sure to keep an eye on your ‘What’s New’ feed to see when this is available to you.
Efficiency and accuracy are critical for handling maintenance and we're focused on making it as easy as possible to deliver great service to your residents. With a recent update to Smart Maintenance, it's now possible to tailor the urgency of different issues for each maintenance group to ensure that work orders are dispatched the way you want across all of your properties.
It’s important to ensure that anyone hired for maintenance on your property shows up on time and does a great job for your residents. Through Smart Maintenance, any vendor assigned to a work order will receive a text and can opt-in or out of the work. This ensures that your work orders are prioritized appropriately, residents are receiving timely service, and the communication and scheduling of vendors is more streamlined.

In the spring, the release of the new Bank Transfer task provided a more straightforward way to complete monthly reserve transfers without leaving AppFolio Property Manager. Those who use this feature love it because it initiates a reserve transfer in a single step and presents a real-time bank balance so they can be confident that funds are available before initiating the transfer.
The latest update to our Bank Transfers feature now allows accountants to schedule both one-time and recurring transfers in AppFolio Property Manager, and includes non-cash journal entries to record all reserve funding in a single step. To make this feature even more efficient, we've automatically enabled this capability for customers of our bank partners: Alliance Association Bank, CIT, Pacific Premier Bank, and Pacific Western Bank.
One of the perks of living in a community association is that it provides residents with amenities that increase the value of living there.
The new Amenities capability now enables community associations managers to create listings for any type of community amenity and publish them directly to the homeowner portal. This provides homeowners with information at their fingertips about available amenities, including photos, hours of operation, and more.
