Her journey into property management began in Washington, DC, but her passion for property management led her back to her hometown of Virginia Beach. Her wealth of knowledge has shaped her 33-year career at The Breeden Company.

Founded by Ramon Breeden Jr., The Breeden Company began with a single house and grew into a multifaceted enterprise now consisting of construction developments, commercial properties, and multifamily housing. Driven by high standards, a clear vision for growth, and a determination to thrive for the next generation, Breeden recognized the need to find a new property management technology partner who shared their goal of achieving excellence.
Before switching to AppFolio Property Manager, Bonnie felt as though Breeden’s previous software provider had become outdated and felt like “it was Band-Aided together toward the end.” In the past, their previous solution had served its purpose, but as the company continued to scale and grow, the limitations of that system became increasingly apparent.
“For years, our previous solution did what we needed it to do. But as time went on and our company grew, the system simply didn’t grow with us. “If you have a family wanting to lease and they have two dogs and a cat, we just couldn’t bear thinking of telling this family, ‘Sorry, we only allow two pets.’ Who could make a decision like that? We decided to allow more than the industry standard of two pets in an apartment, and that has made a big difference in our community.”
