David Riedman founded Riedman Companies in 1993, where his focus was on building custom single-family homes in the Upstate New York area. With a background in architecture, he then set his sights on developing and operating multifamily properties that now span the Upstate New York and Western Pennsylvania regions. Decades later, his son, Alec Riedman, joined the family business on the property management side, and together, they manage over 4,000 units. “Working for a family business can certainly have its challenges, but being a part of this organization’s growth — which I've watched my dad care so deeply about — has really been rewarding and added an extra layer to my career that I wouldn't have any other way,” Alec says.
We sat down with Alec Riedman, Director of Property Management, to learn more about the present and future of Riedman Companies.
