By registering for and/or attending the Event, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. It is your responsibility to read and understand these Terms and Conditions. If you do not wish to accept the Terms and Conditions, you should not register or attend the Event.

During the Event, we may take photographs, audio, and/or video of, and otherwise collect quotes from, speakers and guests to use for promotional and marketing purposes. By registering for the Event you grant AppFolio the irrevocable and unrestricted right to use such photographs, audio, videos, and other recordings including your name, image, likeness, and any quotes in its promotional and marketing efforts.

If you offer to have your badge scanned by sponsor(s) or at sponsor-branded activities or sessions at or during the Event, you are instructing AppFolio to share your name, contact information, title, and company with the sponsor(s) so they may contact you by email, phone, and post for marketing purposes. This is optional - you may choose not to offer your badge. Providing sponsor(s) with your information may involve transferring it to another country. For questions about how sponsor(s) will handle your information or to unsubscribe from their marketing communications, please contact them directly or refer to their privacy policies.

By registering for the Event, you are providing us personal information such as your name, your email address, your company name, etc. We collect this information to facilitate the Event and to market our services to you. If the Event is co-sponsored, we may also share your information with the co-sponsors for the purpose of facilitating the Event and their marketing of their services to you. You acknowledge that by attending the Event you are taking on certain risks, including Covid-19 related risks, that cannot be eliminated. In exchange for your attending the Event, you agree, on behalf or yourself and your heirs and assigns, to release AppFolio, and each of its subsidiaries, affiliates, employees, directors, officers, representatives, agents, contractors, assigns, and vendors (together, the “Released Parties”) from any and all claims, actions, demands, damages (including attorneys’ fees), and liabilities (including liability stemming from the Released Parties’ negligence), associated with your attendance of the event (including, but not limited to, claims for personal injury, accident, illness or property damage) to the greatest extent allowed by law.
You also agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Released Parties from any and all claims, actions, demands, damages (including attorneys’ fees) and liabilities (including liability stemming from the Released Parties’ negligence) associated with your attendance of the Event (including, but not limited to, claims for personal injury, accident, illness or property damage) to the greatest extent allowed by law.

These Terms and any dispute arising out of or relating to the Event and/or these Terms will be interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law provisions. All disputes arising out of or related to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the California state courts located in Santa Barbara, California and federal courts of the Central District of California (unless we both agree to some other location). We each hereby expressly consent to the personal and exclusive jurisdiction of such courts.

You agree that to the extent that any of the provisions above are held to be unenforceable or invalid, the remainder shall continue in full force and effect.

Your attendance is voluntary and includes possible exposure to and illness from infectious diseases including but not limited to COVID-19. While particular rules and personal discipline may reduce this risk, the risk of serious illness and death does exist. You knowingly and freely assume all such risks related to illness and infectious diseases, such as COVID-19. And you agree to follow all applicable infectious disease related federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and guidance, including any implemented by AppFolio or the event venue.
